How many of you enjoyed Hari Raya and all the open house? I sure did! I love the gathering with old friends that we barely meet apart from festive season and of course all the Raya dishes… Rendang, serunding, lemang and ketupat… Oh my! They taste absolutely good during Raya (haha! What an excuse for myself to binge). With all the open house events coming to an end, my digestive system is looking for some greens.
Now with the guilty conscious knocking in my head, I stroll into my kitchen and there it is! My beautiful ingredients for this beautiful green smoothie, greeting me. And not to mentioned, the leftover Medjool dates – natural sweetener and also a great snack to munch on…
OK, grab all of them and let’s whip out a smoothing smoothie for my belly… J
|Prep Time: 5 mins||Yield: 2 Servings||280 calories per serving|
|This super yummy and nutrient packed smoothie is the best to have it for breakfast with lots of calcium, vitamins and minerals.
1 large banana (frozen if you prefer cold)
1½ cup of Almond Mylk
3 – 4 pitted Medjool Dates (depending on your level of sweetness you can add a few more pieces)
2 cups of packed spinach
Mix all the above ingredients and blend it in a blender for approximately 5 mins. Serve immediately.
