It is essential to prepare your body prior to a cleanse so that you will get the most out of it. Think of it as your chance to start off with a clean slate. Just make a few adjustments to your eating and drinking habits, as it will make starting your cleanse much easier.

How to prepare for your Juice cleanse ?
2-3 Days Before The Cleanse
What should I do before starting my Juice Cleanse ?
You should try to do follow the steps below. This should help you cope with the Juice Cleanse:
- Drink lots of water. We recommend about 8 glasses a day
- Eliminate caffeine (coffee and tea), alcohol and soda
- If you are worried about “coffee withdrawal headache” you can take green tea to ease with the transition
- Avoid meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, white starches (flour and bread), and sugar
- Eat vegetables, fruits and whole grains
- Make sure you get plenty of rest – go to bed as early as you can
- Try to keep your schedule light so you can devote this time to taking the best possible care of yourself
During your cleanse
What’s happening to my body during the Juice Cleanse ?
There will be a lot of cleaning and healing as your body is rebalancing itself and getting used to all of the nutrients you are providing. You might experience some of the detox symptoms and get discomfort such as headaches or light headedness. Just make sure that you listen to yourself, if you feel a bit run down, take it easy and rest.
You can drink non-caffeinated herbal teas which are very soothing. And in case you are very hungry and cannot resist, we suggest that you take some celery stalks, slices of cucumber, a quarter of an avocado, or vegetable broth. Remember to continue drinking water and again plenty of rest.

Post Cleanse
What should I do once my Juice Cleanse is over ?
This is an equally important part of the whole cleansing ritual. For the first few days it’s best to just take light food like soups, fruits, salad or steamed vegetables. Slowly re-introduce animal protein and dairy, don’t rush into it. After experiencing the good feeling of a cleanse, you most likely won’t want to go back to your old habits.
Detox Symptoms
What should I expect to feel during my Juice Cleanse ?
It is common for people to experience some detox symptoms during their cleanse. Everyone is different. Don’t worry and don’t panic. You can move past these symptoms by supporting your body with rest, water, and herbal teas. If you have any concerns about your detox symptoms or experience anything beyond the list, please consult your doctor.
The most common symptoms are: fatigue, headaches, constipation or diarrhea, skin breakouts, rashes, nausea, runny nose, body aches, gas, insomnia, cravings and irritability.
